Thyme

Many people can’t tell the difference between thyme, oregano and marjoram.

The Greek name of Oregano means “joy of the mountain.” Greeks and Italians love oregano and they use it on salads, pizza and pasta sauces. Oregano is also used with seafood dishes.

Actually, oregano and marjoram are so similar in looks and flavor that they are often confused. Oregano, however, has a more potent taste and aroma.

Thyme is one of the most important herbs of the European kitchen.  Thyme is used in cooking and flavoring, and it can be mixed with other herbs in cooking like parsley, sage leaves and oregano.

Thyme add a great taste and flavor when used in lamb, duck, or goose.

Thyme and oregano can be used in cooking whether fresh or dry.
